The 107th annual Welwyn Street Wee took place, as ever, on April 1st in Hertfordshire with three-time champion Matt Slash taking the honours in a record time of 11.47 seconds. The event, which harks back to Victorian times, is the only event not to take place in a urinal currently sanctioned by the IPF. This year's nominated charity, Peeball for Peace, was delighted with £4000 collected in the traditionally quiet village. Slash himself donated his winner's cheque for £500 to PFBC, commenting,
"Peeballers often have a reputation for being tough men. Although I'm mean when I'm making my stand, away from the kharzi I believe we have a responsibility to every human being that breathes and urinates".
