IPF Appoints First Female Executive |

The International Peeball Federation (IPF) has finally broken its gender barrier with the appointment of Elaine Sweetapple as General Secretary. Sweetapple takes her seat on the board of directors with immediate effect.
This appointment has raised eyebrows (and lowered toilet seats) in the traditionally all-male world of Peeball. Although Sweetapple has never competed herself, she has been involved with Peeball for many years at an organisational level and has been at the forefront of bringing Power Peeball to the UK.
In her first statement to the press Sweetapple exclaimed,
"I'm delighted to be the first female General Secretary of the IPF. Although Peeball participation will remain a male domain for the immediate future, I think I have proved that there's no reason for women not to get involved with this great sport. I have been made extremely welcome by all the board members of the IPF and although I don't compete in the pre-meeting pee-abouts, I am confident that our efforts will be rewarded by the greatest era in Peeball history".
She continued,
"A lot of women have asked me about the possibility of a female version of Peeball. We have run numerous experiments with tubing of various sizes and there's no getting away from the fact that aim remains a problem. At the same time, although women cannot play Peeball, there are plenty of things we can do that men are and always will be incapable of: like being able to talk and think at the same time".
